Out Of Body Experience

Out of body experience? Wow, what a bombastic four-words term! What on earth is that? Well, some of you may not have come across this term before, so let me share with you this interesting little thing, in which studies have shown that 10 percent of the population in the world undergoes an out of body experience once in their lifetime. An out of body experience(commonly known as OOBE or OBE, and also referred to as astral projection) is an experience in which a person has a feeling of leaving his body and observing himself and the world from outside his body. Therefore, OBE is actually a process of transiently separating the consciousness, or the soul you could call it, from the physical body.

There are several ways in which people can perceive an OBE, one of which is through induction or under the influence of drugs. That is known as induced out of body experience. The other spontaneous methods are through dreams, daydreams, memories and even near-death experience. This can be scary as some people get afraid as they think that they are dying and will never return to their body. Nevertheless, there are also some who feel light and peaceful from OBE. All these are expressed from different point of views. Recent surveys related to near-death experiences have reported cases of motorcyclists experiencing an OBE, finding themselves floating over the motorcycle, observing their own body and still continuing to ride. It's astonishing, isn't it? Though I suppose you wouldn't want to go through any near-death experience right? :)

Some researches are still cracking their heads, trying to find out the real reason towards why some people experience OBE. They also suggest that it is actually nothing but a simple illusion, caused by an abnormally functioning brain. Frankly, in my opinion, stuff like these are really hard to come to a definite conclusion. After all, it's about the amazing/almighty/boundless etc...HUMAN MIND and our soul. However, I do hope that I would be able to live long enough to see the future scientists coming out with all sorts of concrete evidences related to these issues. Till then, it will still, and always be a wonder.

what is LIFE?

“What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.”

This may just be the most commonly asked question on earth. To me, life is essentially what you make of it. Reality is only as real as our mind can tell us it is. If you believe good deeds will be rewarded and bad punished then you have decided what life is for you. If you think life is about finding your way then that is all it is. If you think life is just time in between sleep then it can be that as well. It can be as simple as the need to mate and keep the species alive to being as complicated as wondering what it all meant when it's over. The answer to this question is one that no one here or anywhere can help you with. It isn't a test with a right or wrong answer. It is simply how you decide to take the information you already have and apply it. Well life is what you make it. If you make it out to be bad it will be miserable for you and for all those around you but if you want life to be at its fullest it will.

DOES GOD EXIST?

Everyday, people around the world pray in hope. When they are in a mess, they pray to god and hope everything returns to normal. The funny thing is, stats show that most people only pray when they run into trouble or they want something to happen, whether is it to achieve flying colours in their examinations, strike a jackpot or recover from a disease.

There are many religions in this world. Religion conflicts are among the main causes of war in the early centuries and even now. Many innocent lives were lost because of this. I believe at the beginning there was only one religion. Mankind got confused along the way and came up with so many religions. India and Pakistan got split apart because of this issue. Mahatma Gandhi was shot because he said Hindu and Muslims should live together as one.

We believe in god. Yet we have never seen him in real life. I'm sure if there was a god up there he wouldn't want his children to be quarreling regarding who's religion is the real one. Everyone has their own believes. Respect that. I'd like to think god exists and he guides us through every step in life. We're all humans. Unite and live together as one.

ALIENS & GHOSTS

Okay ever since I was a kid, I've always wished I met an alien. Aliens are so damn cool! And rumours are, we came from outer space. It seems microorganisms arrived on earth via an asteroid and slowly the evolution process begun. There are billions of planets out there in outer space. Hasn't it occurred to you that at least one of those planets has aliens? I watched the movie War Of The Worlds and I was so fascinated by the fact that something living out there could have the technology to come to earth and take over our world. At least, one good thing that will happen if that actually happens is the world will fight as one for once.

To me, there shouldn't be any countries in the first place. There should only be on leader in this world. All the continents were once joined together. The riches of the world should be shared equally by every country. They should develop all countries as one and poverty can be overcome. War can be avoided and so many lives could have been saved. Well, that's just me. One person. I can't change the world now, can I?

Alright, now lets talk about ghosts. I find it stupid that people believe in god but not ghosts. There are always to sides to everything. As the Chinese put it, yin and yang. Opposites exist in relation to each other. Contrary forces are seemingly interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, and how they give rise to each other in turn. So to me, if you don't believe in ghosts then don't believe in god. You only believe in god because ever since you were born, your parents have instilled the thought in you. You pray to him in Hope. If your parents had done the same thing with ghosts, I'm sure you would believe in them too. Well, the down side to that is you'd probably be afraid of the dark. Ghosts exist. Believe it.

About aliens, we'll just have to wait and see ;)

L-O-V-E

Love. Science defines what could be understood as love as an evolved state of the survival instinct, primarily used to keep human beings together against menaces and to facilitate the continuation of the species through reproduction. So how do we know whether have we found the ONE for us? The one who we can trust and spend our whole lives with without growing tired of them. Well, that you'll have to discover yourself. Don't go in search of love, love will find you. And when you do fall head over heels over someone, you'd better give it your all to win their hearts.

Remember this, only once in your life will you have that extreme feeling of satisfaction of being able to say the girl I love, loves me too because the actual fact is you only fall in love once. You can convince yourself that you're over that person you used to love but the fact is you still love them. At certain points of your life, you'll wonder how different things could have been if both of you had made it in a relationship. Some choose to name their daughters/sons with the names of their one true love. Back then, marriages were an eternal thing. Once you're married, you stick with your husband/wife forever no matter what. Now, marriages have become a joke. Seriously, people talk about divorcing their spouses as if they mean nothing. The ugly truth is most marriages now end up in failure and the main reason for this is their spouses cheat on each other. The thrilling sensation of spending a night out with someone else tends to convince many especially males to do so. They grow tired of their marriages and tend to look for someone for exciting. It's pathetic, really.

When you say you love someone, it means you'll do anything for them. You'll do anything to see them smile. When they're in pain, you feel the pain too. You'd catch a grenade for them. There is no time frame for when you'll find your one true love. Teenagers though sometimes behave like the world is over when they break up. It's probably because of that unbalanced hormone levels. As you mature, you'll get better at accepting disappointments. If it was meant to be, it'll happen. Teenage boys now tend to 'play' a lot with girls' hearts. The word is, whoever has had the most girlfriends is the coolest and gains respect. Girls aren't toys. They have emotions too. They withstand pain that none of us males ever will. Some boys use the excuse for a love failure as a cover up for them to 'play' around so that they're free of the guilt of hurting someone. It may help at first to talk to many girls so that you get over someone quickly but sooner or later you'll realise that you're wasting your time. That one person will always be in your head whether you like it or not.

Those who really earn my respect are those who lose their spouses yet decide not to remarry for the rest of their lives. That's what I call true love. A great example, would be Chris Medina who dedicated his life to his fiance who's paralyzed due to any accident. And for those lucky enough to be with the ones you love, don't ever hurt them. Be grateful for what you have and for those who haven't found your one true love, good luck in your quest. May Cupid strike an arrow at you :)

2012 - Is It THE END?

SO the question going through everyone's mind now is whether the world really gonna end in 2012? The year 2012 is supposed to result in a slew of natural disasters culminating in the end of the world (as we know it, or think we know it, as the case may be). We know this prediction is true because a bunch of savage, child sacrificing, jungle-dwelling Mayans prophesied it hundreds of years ago through their amazingly accurate calendar. Never mind that the date for Armageddon was originally set as December 24, 2011. We now know that these events will occur at exactly 11:11 GMT on December 21 2012, even though some Mayan predictions go all the way back to 4772 A.D. Those Mayans really knew everything about astronomy, since their calendar consisted of 260-day periods, which represents the true length of the solar year. According to the Mayan calendar, the "Great Cycle" equates with 5,125.36 years, which began on August 11, 3114 B.C. and ends in 2012. Unfortunately for the Mayan tribe (but maybe fortunately for us), they ended before their calendar.

Nostradamus, the lucid genius, and the infamous prophet who predicted numerous major events which came true such as the 911 attack, the World Wars and many more.

However, the Mayans were not the only people to predict the end of the world. Incan and Egyptian calendars, as well as with the prophecies of Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce (famous for predicting from 1958-1998 that a tilting of the Earth's axis would result in the earth being broken up in the western portion of America which will result in the greater portion of Japan going into the sea), and the I Ching, Hopi Indians, along with a few other wackos have indicated that the apocalypse will occur in December 2012. Nostradamus predicted a great comet, Nibiru, would impact the Mediterranean on December 21, 2012 or was it the year 1999? - oh well its close enough ;). Japan recently suffered a major earthquake of a magnitude of 8.9 (the second largest earthquake ever recorded in history). The earthquake resulted in a 10 meter tsunami that swept away everything in its path killing thousands and living many without homes. Not enough with the earthquake and the tsunami, Japan hit the jackpot when their nuclear plant in Fukushima erupted and its coolant water leaked out. Now, Japan are dealing with a nuclear emergency and are trying to avoid another Cheronobyl nuclear disaster. Residents within a 12 km radius have been moved to avoid any cases of radiation poisoning.

JThe devastating tsunami that hit Japan on 11th of March 2011, engulfing everything in its sight.

First of all, didn't Japan learn its lesson when they were bombed by the United States during World War 2? George Santayana famously said those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Only the Gingko trees survived the nuclear bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The clear lesson here is nuclear energy kills. Sure, the nuclear plant helped provide the Japanese cities with vital electricity but did they calculate the risks before building the plants? Its been long known that Japan sits in the Pacific Ring of Fire which is an area where large numbers of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur in the basin of the Pacific Ocean. The Ring of Fire is a direct result of plate tectonics and the movement and collisions of crustal plates. Japan was always at risk of being hit by a major earthquake but the only question was when. Yet still, they proceeded with the nuclear plant and now they are the ones suffering because of their irresponsible decision.

Now, workers have to risk their lives in a bid to avoid the reactors from causing more damage to the environment. Some may call it karma for the cruelty of the Japanese empire during the World War 2 where they murdered thousands in cold blood. I don't know about that but to me, its not fair for the people now to pay for the misdeeds of their ancestors with their lives when they did no wrong. The world should have got rid of nuclear energy when they saw the effect it had on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the genetic mutations it caused to human beings for many generations. But no, USA and Russia have equipped themselves with more and more nuclear bombs which are way more powerful and destructive. Many other countries have since decided to build nuclear plants which produce way more electrical energy compared to a hydroelectric plant. The scale of the true nuclear disaster in Japan will be obvious in a few weeks time and I hope it will open the eyes of the world and convince the leaders of the powerful nations that nuclear energy is a big NO for us. We have done enough damage to this world. Now, let us try to resurrect our mistakes and save Mother Earth.

Adolf Hitler, leader of the Nazi Party and the German army during World War II

Okay back to the world will end in 2012 issue, many have been speculating that the end is near based on the turmoil in the middle east, the earthquake in New Zealand last month, the seemingly endless threats of North Korea which has nuclear capabilities to go to war with its southern neighbour, South Korea and of course the recent Japanese tragedy. Some even speculate that aliens will be here to take over our world. Seriously? And of course there are these group of idiotic people having fun instilling fear in people hearts. These people should really get a life man. They relate the two dates of the September 11 attacks on USA and the Japanese earthquake which adds up to 12/21/12 (21st December 2012), the day the Mayans predicted the world will end and spread texts that the radiation due to the explosion in Japan is gonna hit the other Asian countries. Nostradamus famously predicted the September 11 attacks and the rise of Hitler. Honestly, I don't really care what they predict.

Asteroids

The world can end anytime. The reign of the powerful dinosaurs which ruled our planet for millions of years came to an abrupt end after earth collided with an asteroid. Who's to say another asteroid won't strike earth again? The way we're currently headed, the world will definitely come to an end. Everything comes to an end. Its a cycle. In Switzerland, they create anti matter using supercolliders which has a risk of creating a black hole here on earth itself and I don't need to explain what scale of destruction a black hole can cause. I believe we're getting too smart for our own good. A nuclear war might happen tomorrow and bring an early end to our lives. I definitely don't want to die a virgin and I bet you don't to. We have spent our whole lives studying and we sure do want to enjoy our lives and look forward to the future. Thus, lets hope that Mother Earth stays young and healthy forever. For those who believe in the end of the world, I suggest you start building your own version of the ark.

Till then, as Rihanna put it in her song, i'm gonna LIVE MY LIFE :).
